Welcome to the Indiana Pressure Ulcer Reduction Initiative!
The University of Indianapolis Center for Aging & Community (CAC), in partnership with the Indiana State Department of Health and the Indiana Association for Home & Hospice Care, is addressing the challenging and costly health care issue of pressure ulcers. CAC is spearheading a coalition of health care organizations (including IAHHC) across the spectrum of care and advocacy groups in developing a program of education, training and technical assistance to reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers in nursing homes and in other health care sites throughout the state, including the home.
We are committed to and envision a dramatic improvement in the prevention and reduction of pressure ulcers in the state of Indiana through the implementation of this 18- month collaborative quality improvement initiative.
